Anna has been a camper since the summer of 2006 and joined the staff as an apprentice in 2012. She has spent time in the field tech track, drum major track, and the collegiate track.

While in the West Salem High School Marching Band, she played tenor saxophone, served as section leader, woodwind captain, band captain, and drum major. She continued to play tenor saxophone in the Eastern Illinois University Panther Marching Band for 3 years while earning her Bachelor of Arts in Music Education. She had the opportunity while at EIU to student teach in Grahamstown, South Africa in the spring of 2013.

After graduating, she spent a year substitute teaching in both Oregon and Illinois. She then taught K-12 music in Wallowa, OR for two years before moving to Hood River, OR to teach middle school band and choir for another two years. During that time she got her masters in Music Education through the American Band College. In 2018 she moved to the Washington DC area with her husband who plays trombone for the US Army Jazz Band, The Blues. She is currently working from home raising their little boy.

Anna looks forward to camp every year because she gets to watch as students understand and unlock their own potential as a leader. Each year she gets to see rookies and veterans continue to grow even further.
