First a camper in 2005, then a staff member since 2009, Jonathan Bletscher has had the privilege of experiencing, observing, and contributing to the powerful educational and inspirational impact of leadership camp. At camp, he serves as a marching instructor, coaches conductors, delivers seminars, serves as a counselor, and helps facilitate camp events and activities.

Jon is a graduate of West Salem High School in Salem, Oregon where he served as Drum Major for two years. He holds degrees in Music Education and Piano Performance from Seattle Pacific University. Currently, Jon

is the band, jazz band, and choir director at Port Susan Middle School in Stanwood, Washington where he enjoys teaching grades 6-8. Jon also serves as the Visual Director for the Stanwood High School Marching Band. Outside of marching season, Jon provides piano accompaniment for many students at the annual Solo/Ensemble Festival and serves in a variety of musical roles at his local church.
Jon is a very talented educator and brings practical experience and professionalism to the staff. He is passionate about developing young leaders and loves to see students respond to new challenges as their eyes opened to their own potential.
