Will began attending camp in 2008, as a Drum Major from Sheldon High School in Eugene, OR. After two years in the Drum Major track, he moved on to the Collegiate track, graduating in 2012. He served as a staff member in 2013 and 2014, but was forced to take a leave of absence in 2015 to work in the real world. He is proud to be returning to the talented staff of the Scott Reese Leadership Camp to partner with his old friend, Jonathan, to lead the Field Techs once again.
After graduation from Sheldon in 2010, Will began studying Civil Engineering at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2011. He later transferred to Oregon State University, where he is finishing his Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering. In June 2016, he will walk at Commencement and then relocate to Portland to begin work as an intern at Murray Smith and Associates, Inc.
Although Will is no longer active in music or marching, he fondly remembers his days playing saxophone and French horn and leading the marching and pep bands at Sheldon. He uses many of the skills he learned as a camper in his everyday life as a student and engineer and hopes to pass these skills on to the next generation of leaders who choose to attend the Scott Reese Leadership Camp.
